The beautiful image on this yoga mats depicts a small living Aster plant that researchers have found can extract toxic metals from soil.
The image was created during an experiment on the X-ray Fluorescence Microscopy beamline at ANSTO’S Australian Synchrotron. The colours depict different elements within the plant, with potassium shown in red, calcium in green, and nickel in blue.
The mat itself is a micro suede fabric, comprised of 100% high-quality microfiber suede surface and made out of natural rubber containing no PVC or other synthetic rubber.
